WfW is an independent non-profit organisation that promotes the sustainable and fair use of water resources in Mozambique, Zambia and Switzerland.Across Switzerland, more than 600 partner companies are already working with WfW to promote the consumption of tap water and to integrate donations for water projects into their daily operations. In Zambia and Mozambique, WfW is active in structurally disadvantaged peri-urban areas and is committed to ensuring safe access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene for all. In all project countries, WfW places a strong focus on water-related education and awareness-raising.In this role, I am responsible for the establishment of the strategic as well as operational foundation for the Services, Partnerships & Innovation division. The unit extends the way WfW is creating impact in Zambia as a local entity (and beyond) based on new paradigms of mutual strengthening between WfW entities internationally and adaptation of WfW offerings to the local context.I oversee the assessment of the potential for the launch of fair, locally produced sustainable products and the establishment of services and consulting offers for businesses, specifically but not exclusively in the Zambian market.

In this role I oversaw internal and external innovation management; working with a team of unconventional people who explore and create exciting concepts through an early-stage through to growth-stage development process. Creating incremental and/or disruptive, growth-enabling products and services to enter the Zambian and regional markets on behalf of BongoHive Consult and their community of partners. This was done with a specific focus on people, processes, and products, leveraging Human Centred Design, UX, Agile and Lean Methodologies. Some of the work I was honoured to be a part of: - Led a team to design and implement BongoHive's first internal ideation lab. Creating a pipeline to explore, identify and develop solutions to the organisation's internal challenges, from client management to internal requests across teams. - Oversaw a team responsible for delivering a multi-year FinTech Innovation Challenge targeted at developing inclusive finance solutions with leading development organisations and private sector players. - Led a multidisciplinary design and technology team in delivering a blue chip financial company's internal innovation project that helped the company's digital innovation unit design and implement a process to identify, build and deploy new products and services. - Innovation Culture Champion - led the development of a New Employee Handbook adapted from global best practice, contextualised to assist new hires; and 'BH360' - a peer review system that increased team cohesion, fostered collaboration and clearer feedback across functions in the organisation.
