We at Parkd love working with Dan. The communication is easy, the work is delivered on time, and ideas are fresh. Dan has the ability to really dig into your business model, so he understands the problem you are trying to explain towards potential partners, clients and stakeholders. Would highly recommend!

Lyz (Elizabeth) Swanton

Dan has been our sole UX/UI designer for most of the past year, and has been instrumental in designing major parts of our online platform. This has included a wide range of designs for various users: from an entirely new mobile app, to beautiful sales pages, to complicated internal administrative management tools and a lot in between. He has helped us develop a clear visual brand that underpins our whole web presence, and has always gone above and beyond in suggesting ways we can strengthen our product, rather than just delivering on a basic brief. He's a delight to work with and I'd recommend him heartily!

We make apps for good. When I joined 3 SIDED CUBE, we were a small team of 5! Over 4 years, I've been part of the growth and transformation of the agency to 30 people; helping to maintain our values and quality. As we grew, my role had to become incredibly flexible to accommodate the changing demands of clients. I didn't just design apps! From day to day; I could go from pitching to a prospective client, running a workshop and maintaining relationships; to designing apps, editing videos and putting together marketing materials. At Cube, I became very hands on in the whole process, and I would see entire projects from conception to delivery.Solving problems is what I do. I worked with clients such as the American Red Cross, RNLI & Lloyds Banking Group, solving their problems through rapid prototyping and user testing. User testing suits me down the ground because (and if you've met me you'll know) I could talk for England.

    • Mobile Designer
      • Jun 2012 - May 2014

As an agency, we made the decision to move away from web and focus primarily on mobile apps. This position began by overhauling our Android apps, working closely with our Android developers to push the platform's design standards (back when the design guidelines weren't very cohesive!) As this role developed, I took ownership of whole projects from concept to delivery.

    • Web Designer
      • Aug 2011 - Jun 2012

Back when we were a team of 5, I was responsible for the design of any web work we carried out. This included multiple websites, and components that tied into our mobile apps. However, I also worked on pitch documents and... HTML newsletters (the first and last time!)

At the age of 11, I got my hands on Dreamweaver (throwback!) and began learning how to build websites. These were the days before inspect element, so my days were filled with downloading the source code of web pages, importing them into Dreamweaver and working out how everything came together. At the age of 15, I started freelancing. I knew I wanted to see if I could make money from it. Going for jobs through freelancing websites allowed me to work with some international clients and learn how design worked in the real world. Through this, I learned how to code and design for multiple CMS' (Joomla, Drupal, Umbraco and Wordpress) and explore other mediums such as video. As well as online clients, I started reaching out to local businesses (such as the local orchestra and tennis club) to see what I could do for them. During this time, I also worked part time at a local design studio where I did work for Proctor & Gamble.
