  As one of seven Student Sustainability Advisors, it was my primary role to raise awareness and create educational opportunities about ways campus residents can positively affect and contribute to UCSC’s sustainability goal. We promote sustainable living practices among students and staff through our projects focused on education and outreach.I acted as a student resource and a leader, working towards zero waste goals including decreasing campus green house gas emissions, landfill reduction, and water use reduction.Some key projects worked on during my time as an SSA include two poster campaigns, a video campaign, and detailed poster board displays highlighting campus wide initiatives that can be lent out to other college residential staff and future SSAs.
