As the data scientist of the University of Leicester, I had assigned to manipulate the Belfast Harbour marine traffic data. The manipulation includes the cleaning, reformatting the data and also creating a new type of versatile database which has an hourly resolution for vessel traffic, power consumption, fuel consumption as well as the greenhouse emissions. The database can provide millions of combinations of different type of vessels and their derivative information.
