I direct Keya’s daily operations and drive profitability by establishing an overall business strategy, retaining employees, allocating resources, and identifying key business opportunities to attain set goals and a collective vision. In addition to this, I established, led, and grew a consultation firm starting from zero to a multimillion dollar company aimed at delivering financial and management consultation and information assurance and management services across the government sector and private industries. I establish and cultivate productive relationships with Keya’s commercial and government customers by delivering value-added services. I also develop and implement a process improvement/reengineering plan, including database accounting to ensure systems’ audit compliance. Some of my key contributions during this role include: • Expanded Keya’s capabilities by introducing the full range of engineering services in the domains of IT and Information Assurance, while providing visionary and functional leadership. • Planned customers transition to Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and to Risk Management Framework (RMF) • Designed Keya’s compensations/benefits plans and employee handbook/manual to provide guidance and information related to the organization's mission, history, values, policies, and procedures • Directed Keya’s workflow strategies/business processes and reviewed the efficiency of current business functions and planned changes. • Adopted and implemented lean six sigma approach to conduct business process reengineering which resulted to customer saving over $350K. • Restructured and implemented a paperless acquisition system that enabled customers to create, track and manage contracts/agreements from creation to disposition. • Developed incurred cost submission for Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit and managed the audit to acquire a delinquent contractor into compliance. Assistant Controller

Oct 1989 - May 1997
While working at GAC, I supervised a world-class team of accountants. This included hiring, training, and mentoring employees. I also managed the accounting functions of this top-tier organization in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial accounting, and budgeting to meet set targets. One of my core tasks was to develop and implement efficient accounting policies and internal control procedures. Additionally, I prepared financial statements, annual budgets, and margin reports as per Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP), company’s, and federal guidelines. Employers recognized me for analyzing accounting software packages and developing in-house accounting systems and software to ensure the smooth functioning of accounting operations. Some of my key achievements during this tenure include: •Enhanced and implemented the accounts payable system. •Provided top-notch functional assistance in establishing purchasing and budgeting departments from the ground up. •Secured over $150K by coordinating financial, DCAA, and sales tax audits. •Outperformed each assigned work expectation and accomplished fast-track promotion from Accounting Manager to Assistant Controller due to exemplary performance across key functional areas. •Generated margin and project/program management reports as well as formulized a three-factor formula for rate calculations.
