Sebastian served as a high school English, math and music teacher and varsity basketball coach for 12 months in Kosrae, Micronesia. He lived with a local family on the island and worked at the public school for one academic year, teaching classes to seniors and juniors. As coach of the basketball team, Sebastian led the team to the national high school tournament in the capital state of Pohnpei, where the team won the national championship for the first time in their school's history.
