Potoma was a start-up we founded as a group project and which sold grafted Potoma-plants. These plants consisted of two sproots of a potato and a tomato plant being grafted together, resulting in yield of both potatoes and tomatoes by means of one plant. Our start-up took part in the national entrepreneurship competition Company Programme, in which we were able to make it to the final of 75 start-ups. After a successful year selling our plants in our online shop, we dissolved the project at the end of the Company Programme. Show less

Participated in Swiss Youth in Science's National Study Week in Biology and Medecine, during which I was able to work on a research project with the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of the Inselspital Bern and the Department for BioMedical Research at the University of Bern. The research project aimed at analysing mitochondrial integrity in heart transplantation in donations after circulatory death. Research in this field is pivotal to making possible heart donations after circulatory death and thereby bridging the gap between the demand and the availability of donor hearts. Show less
