  Working for an events company whilst studying for my undergraduate degree and quickly progressing to a management role due to hard work in tough working environments.   Assisting in the recovery efforts after Hurricane Harvey, my role was primarily to rebuild homes that were destroyed by flooding during the disaster, giving me an insight into the world of humanitarianism and allowing me to see first hand the devastating effects natural disasters have on the lives of ordinary people. During my time here I also volunteered with a people-trafficking charity, as well as at food banks.
