𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:▪ Built an IoT system that uses computer vision to detect anomalies in the assembly process of car bodies for a car manufacturer in Munich. The model output is visualized in a Python web app and Azure is used to send out notifications to operators.▪ Built a XGBoost regressor model to predict the RoE of companies based on financial data for a Swedish accounting firm. The project included the integration of extensive model explainability with SHAP.▪ Developed a Pyspark simulation engine (in Azure Databricks) for one of the world's largest material traders to analyze and optimize their supply chain network, ultimately reducing transportation and inventory costs. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲:Fighting pathogens in-silico: using deep learning to translate host-pathogen biology into diagnostic and predictive tools𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲:My high-level objective is to use state-of-the-art deep learning approaches to accelerate clinical trials, improve treatment methods and create novel diagnostics in the fight against major infectious diseases such as tuberculosis. In particular, I am using sequence and graph modelling techniques such as Transformers and Graph Attention Networks in combination with single-cell and clinical data to detect biomarkers that can provide insights into host-pathogen mechanisms that happen in these diseases.
