  With the Checkers, my main priority was to help produce our broadcasts to AHL TV. Mainly in the booth I was responsible for controlling our audio equipment, playing commercials and managing gain and balancing volumes. My mission while I was with the Checkers was to become the best broadcaster and the best hockey team in the AHL. Aside from that, we strove to develop players into NHL talent and provide fun family entertainment for the audience attendees. Our target audience was mainly hockey fans, but also the Checkers prioritize families, especially those within the Charlotte metro area. Working with TJ Chillot and Nick in PR helped me a lot as they were more than happy to help me learn and understand our job with the Checkers further.
