I am in charge of all personal and maintenance tasks for my shift in accordance with US Naval regulations until we move to UK 145 regulations later this year, as well as supervising on the job training for Royal Air Force personnel in order for them to take over line operations duties from Boeing in the future.In addition to my usual role of running both line and base maintenance I am also charged with assisting the development of the UK P8A maintenance infrastructure and its future development including providing technical and training support for future overseas sales of the P8A platform. One of the RAFs first 3 Airborne System Engineers on board combined RAF/USAF surveillance aircraft. Managed a team of 15 Avionic Engineering specialists in the repair and maintenance of the Tornado GR4 complex avionic systems by both corrective and preventive means. Required to deploy as supervising engineer in support of overseas operations when rapid recovery of an aircraft is required. Selected to be the senior engineer for the rapid development and deployment to Afghanistan of the HERTI UAV the UKs only fully autonomous aircraft. Placed in charge of all engineering aspects of the aircraft including all personal & ground engineering assets to prove both its concept and the durability of the system in an operational environment. One of 7 instructors charged with the on aircraft ground training for all Engineers/ Aircrew/ Firemen/ Safety equipment fitters/BAe Deployed staff etc on the largest fast jet station in the UK. Documentation Controller Tasked with maintaining aircraft records, carrying out quality control of documentation, as well as planning scheduled and out of phase maintenance. Squadron Logistic & Operations Controller Charged with liaising between the requirements of the aircrew and the practical engineering tasks required to keep the squadrons fleet of aircraft flying safely.
