Rust Real Estate was a real estate brokerage and consulting company based in Philadelphia. I served in a hybrid role as Managing Member responsible for day-to-day office operations, and as the Commercial and Development Sales Team Lead responsible for driving commercial leases and shopping center or land development deals. I ran office operations as we grew to 10 staff and $40M in annual sales, with responsibility for office finances and budgets, payroll, hiring, and recruiting.My other work spanned analysis of investment opportunities (economic conditions, demographic analyses), worked with owners and architects on design ideas, reviewing construction proposals, conducing proformas for land development or multifamily property rehabs, and drafting and negotiating deals with agents. I also represented buyers of several high-rise developments and suburban land, guiding them through pre-construction issues, and navigating due diligence.
