Sean was a pleasure to deal with and I saw first hand how effective a number of his transformation initiatives were at the Audit Office of NSW. He guided the organisation through everything from an office move, infrastructure redeployment and the Covid-19 pandemic. As a supplier to the organisation this was greatly appreciated, particularly given the centrality of applications I helped manage with him. Sean would be a great asset to any organisation be they a private corporate or government organisation.

As a consultant working in the public service environment, Seán was expected to deliver many large scale projects on time while adhering to stringent quality standards. As his progressed through his own company’s career model, he moved from working on initial analysis, design and delivery to team lead and project manager. Seán was expected to work closely with business clients in order to identify requirements and manage delivery and functional expectations. In addition to his day to day work, Seán has also worked, single handedly on numerous projects which were initiated due to his diligence in gap analysis.

As CTO for a ground-breaking diagnostic MedTech AI company I have managed our product offering to blend seamlessly into the cardiology workflow. Also leading the business through transformation, incubator and scale up mode, building amazing product with talented teams and a strong culture. Particularly proud of setting and shaping our product strategy and roadmap to transform our unique capabilities into modern secure and trusted SaaS product offerings with a focus on revenue growth. Luckily, I still get to keep my hands dirty and have helped build out our microservice cloud offering whilst leading a team of talented engineers and data scientists to produce solutions that make change for good with a keen commercial focus. Represented the company both directly and at webinars to leading cardiologists, our customers which have included over half of Australian Health insurance funds, as well as our other industries including defence. Achievements included setting out a product roadmap to support revenue growth, re-architecting 3 product lines for the cloud, overseeing reseller partner negotiations, transforming focus on cyber and quality as well as knowledge management and stewardship of skills.

As the leader of FINEOS' APAC R&D unit, I oversaw the development and delivery of their regional OOTB offering; led product management of new market based offerings through Business Model Design & Service Design approaches; led the foray into leveraging APIs and new technology, particularly in the AI and big data space to help create a better experience and ecosystem for end customers through new means such as voice recognition, Chat Bots and machine learning. Within the APAC region I provided strategic direction to the organisation by understanding our customers’ needs, sponsoring innovation lab activities, business cases and maintaining a 3-year roadmap of opportunities in the market targeted at our various customer segments. I led the development of various new products targeted at FINEOS' markets in APAC using standard tools and methods. Having led the design of these products, I also grew them into actual marketable offerings winning new sales for our business. Achieving these results through co-ordinating and facilitating various Design Sprint and Business Model design workshops. From a market and product perspective I oversaw moving the demand for digital capabilities from our end customers into a real product offering that we fulfilled by developing APIs. We have since further used these to build out our innovation capability which has led to the development of chat bots, apps and other new offerings.Financially I looked at ways to decrease both cost and risk in our operations space and focused on ways to automate and standardise our build and cloud processes from automatic and sometimes manual jobs into cohesive continuous delivery processes significantly lowering our resource costs to provide these services.

Working Full-Time in Reception & Front Office this role was similar to my previous role in the Mount Errigal Hotel. This was a busy City Centre Hotel and required a high degree of co-ordination between different departments and external providers to ensure guest satisfaction. Being a city centre hotel this role depended on my ability to successfully deal with customer service issues whilst presenting an excellent impression of the hotel to guests and visitors, for the entirety of their stay.
