Managed the agency’s Defensive Counterintelligence; Insider Threat; Personnel Suitability and Security, and Physical Security Programs to protect people, facilities, and information. Led 120 employees and contractors. Managed an annual budget exceeding $22M. Sole agency employee authorized to grant, deny, revoke, and suspend security clearances for all 8,500+ DEA employees. Led a change management initiative of the Personnel Security Program resulting in improved performance results againt metrics established by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Office of Personnel Management. Led the establishment of the Insider Threat Program (InTP). Achieved buy-in from the Department of Justice to expand the InTP program to include Controlled Unclassified Information, adding critical protections to DEA investigative programs and informants. Led reestablishment of the agency's Defensive Counterintelligence Program from a non-staffed entity to a functional and operational program. Led establishment of an Active Shooter/Threat Mitigation Plan for DEA HQ and updated the HQ Occupant Emergency Plans. Show less
