I am responsible for the analysis and design of fire alarm and detection systems and fire protection systems. I routinely survey existing facilities and systems in support of planned upgrades to determine and define the scope of work for upgrades and modifications to the fire alarm and suppression systems. Some of these spaces include offices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, banks, schools, prisons, and various other buildings. I have also been involved with the design of the fire alarm and fire suppression systems for various new buildings including fire stations, schools, and a prison. As part of all of these projects, I am responsible for reviewing and determining the applicable code requirements and developing construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
