I have had the privilege of working with Sean in a handful of classes. Sean is a very hard worker who was driven to get some of the top marks. Sean was very detail oriented. When he had an issues with configurations, it was usually something very small and easy to fix, like a typo. He has a very strong understanding of Microsoft systems for both networking and desktop support. I personally have witnessed him build various virtualized servers in the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008 platforms, as well as Windows XP and Windows 7. He was able to quickly set up DHCP for the workstations and set up basic Group Policy to limit control of the workstations. Sean's proficiency in Linux is limited due to lack of real world use (outside of labs in class), however I have zero doubt that he could become a Linux guru in no time if he was needed to use it with any level of frequency greater than once or twice a week. I got the opportunity to see Sean take the lead in his CAPSTONE class. He took lots of time to understand the problem so he could address all presented issues and did a fantastic job! He was very accurate with all the details ranging from IP tables of workstations and servers to diagrams detailing building layouts with cable runs. I believe Sean would make a great asset to any company in need of a IT professional. He is willing to learn, and always has a great attitude towards what he is doing regardless of any problems that may arise. I hope to get the chance to work with Sean again, whether it be academically or professionally.
