Sean has a strong knowledge of Lean and CI trends and concepts, but more importantly, has a great rapport and relationship with the people he works with. ThedaCare was one of the first healthcare organizations in the country to look outside healthcare at Lean tools and processes as a sustainable continuous improvement methodology. Sean was a key player in this early Lean transformation in his role as a facilitator and coach in the newly developed ThedaCare Improvement System (TIS). Sean was instrumental in developing standards and processes for TIS, as well as successfully facilitating many Lean events using ThedaCare's "learn by doing" approach of stand up teaching of the tools to teams in real time during events.
