Program Manager
-
Feb 2017 - Mar 2020
I managed the distribution of technical, educational material for a Developer Relations department at Google. I researched and applied strategies for search engine optimization and YouTube/social media amplification with the aim of maximizing the discovery of the educational content. Most of my efforts were focused on data analysis and reporting. In this role, I developed a reporting program that delivered 1,000+ reports per year to stakeholders outlining the performance of their content as well as viewer retention, demographics, traffic sources, and more. I provided relative numbers by comparing viewer statistics to industry benchmarks and internal benchmarks. No matter the platform (YouTube, Udacity, Twitter, live events, etc), I found relevant trends that informed the content creators what performed well and what didn't.Lastly, I provided general staffing and video publication services for large Google developer events in San Francisco, Mountainview, and internationally. These events included Google I/O, Google Cloud Next, Android Summit, TensorFlow Summit, Flutter Live, and more.

I helped to seasonally manage 300+ hives and extracted 54,000+ gallons of honey while keeping meticulous records. My work days were consistently 10+ hours in the field pulling supers and observing/recording relevant environmental data. Furthermore, I was able to learn and apply pest identification and treatment practices as well as queen breeding and assimilation. This role required that I operate heavy machinery including forklifts, flatbed trucks, centrifuges, nail guns, and table saws. I installed and maintained habitat for native pollinators in participating farms - this involved propagating and procuring plants for installment, managing the lab nursery, preparing soil onsite, planting, weeding, and topdressing. I then collected pollinator specimens from these habitats, compiled data from the collections, and statistically analyzed the data to help draw conclusions for research papers and grant applications. In addition, I maintained an Urban Pollinator Exhibition garden by weeding, deadheading, planting, spading, composting, applying amendments, managing irrigation, pruning, and caring for tools.
