Career Highlights• Delivered in excess of 150% return to shareholders over a two year period through the realisation of the underlying shareholder value that existed in the Control Instruments Group with the sale of the restructured Group to Torre Industries Limited.• Managed the transformation of the Control Instruments Group into a focussed automotive aftermarket business by disposing of poor performing operations.• Responsible for Control Instruments Automotive’s augmented footprint in Sub-Saharan Africa to 11 countries and achieved 20% growth in sub-Saharan Africa in the 2013 financial year.• Eliminated non-performing brands and secured and launched the global TEXTAR brand into the Southern African market.• Implemented a disciplined route to market for the distribution of the Gabriel shock absorber brand. This halted the brands fall in sales and saw a 10% increase within the first year under the new strategy and then the brand retain its number one position in the market. • Successfully executed 3 major restructurings in line with the strategic objectives of the Group.• Returned the Group to sustainable levels of profitability by de-leveraging debt to acceptable levels through intense cash management. • Successfully concluded and brought into production contracts with major multinational automotive companies – Tenneco, Eaton, Continental, Jaguar Land Rover and Alpine (BMW).• Restructured UK and US operations and oversaw the integration of the UK, USA and South Africa design and development teams to achieve a design for manufacture philosophy.• Won the contract to supply Mercedes Benz injection moulded door panel on the new C-Class Mercedes Benz.• Built a world-class factory in East London in nine months in support of the Mercedes Benz project.• Built a distribution network for Uniross SAS throughout Europe and America which tripled international sales over a three year period.• Identified an acquisition target in America for Uniross SAS Show less
