I worked closely with all outsourced services, including film production, picture post production and Visual FX, ensuring that they delivered all materials to us on time and within budget. I also was responsible for sourcing and managing all internal freelance operators across all departments (UI/UX, editorial, compositors, additional sound design etc). Subsequent ports of "Erica" to iOS and PC came in 2020 & 2021 respectively. Keeping them up to date with events as they happen on the floor and the progress of shots/assets as they develop is an imperative part of this role - Also works very closely with Team Leads to ensure that the running of their team is as efficient as possible, and that they have the support that they need to get shots/assets finished to the standard expected by the VFX Supervisor. - Runs Dailies sessions so that the VFX Supervisor can view all scheduled shots as they are worked on, and ensure that his/her feedback is disseminated back through to the artist and addressed. I managed many projects that have varied in… Show more When working for Windmill Lane Pictures, I double-jobbed as a VFX producer, and as a post-production producer With regards to my VFX producer role, I was responsible for the initial quoting and subsequent management of VFX projects within Windmill Lane Pictures. The delivery of all shots to the client was done within strict time-scales and budget constraints, so proper management of all resources on these projects was essential. I managed many projects that have varied in design/style and size. With regards to design, the projects I managed included creature design (Ferocious Planet/Roadkill), Particles/Dynamics (The Moth Diaries), 2D/3D Set Replacement (Saving the Titanic, The Moth Diaries), Period Removal/Cleanup (CallGirl). I worked with teams of varying sizes on each of these projects, from smaller (5/6 artists - 25/30 shots) to relatively larger (20/25 artists - 150/200 shots). Each project was delivered to the clients satisfaction. I also produced two fully animated short films for the Irish Film Board, that have been well received. They are "Trid an Stoirm" directed by Fred Burdy, and "Pet Hate" directed by Andy Clarke (see below for links) With regards to my role as a post-production producer, my duties were quite similar to the concurrent VFX role, in that I was responsible for the initial quoting, overall management and eventual transfer to the client of all agreed deliverables within a specified time frame, with the main difference being that the workflows were completely different and separate from one another. Services offered by windmill that I was responsible for quoting, organising and overseeing included rushes processing, editing, title design, sound design, sound mixing, grading, online, and dubbing.
