Field Engineer - Level 2 Network Technician
-
Sep 2013 - Sep 2017
Univision Computers is an Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the IT industry, located in Missoula, MT. They cover the state of Montana and beyond. They provide a plethora of technology services to a wide range of customers ranging from software, operating systems, workstations, servers, network infrastructure, security implementation and management, and really just about anything technology related. I started as an Intern for Univision Computers in September of 2013, during which time I was tasked with working the Service Bench and the Help Desk departments.Moving into the Help Desk position as an Intern and Level 1 technician had me working what is called the "queue" of service tickets that were submitted by customers for various issues, primarily networking, printing, software operation/crashing, and infected operating systems. Learning to meet the SLA-agreed 1-hour response time, and attempt to be efficient and thorough at remediation services for each customer situation, while providing clear communication. The Help Desk is a faster paced environment with expectations of faster resolutions for various problems that can occur on consumer and commercial appliances. Being familiar with quick and basic problem solving steps becomes extremely useful in this area, along with a very strong ability to communicate. After Intern and Level 1 Technician positions, I was promoted to a Level 2 Network Technician after graduating from Missoula College. I was still performing previous tasks and also given projects and on-site tasks. Projects consist of more in-depth technical skill and larger jobs, which can occur at various locations requiring traveling. Show less

Small start-up business specializing in water transfer printing, also known as hydro dipping. The process by which a pattern is applied to a painted object as a refinishing process. Can be applied to plastics, metals, wood, bone, etc. The process uses automotive quality primers, paints and clear coat options. The process requires dipping the item in a tank of heated water to apply the ink-based pattern to the painted item. There are hundreds of patterns, if not thousands. Hydro dipping has proven to be an interesting and quickly growing market in the past 10-20 years. It is an affordable process that can take something worn or boring and give it fresh visual life.Items commonly dipped are rifles (stocks and barrels), deer and elk skulls, iPhone cases, vehicle emblems, vehicle interior pieces, etc. If you would like to know more, please visit: http://www.montanahydroimage.com/ Show less

TLE Support Manager
-
Feb 2003 - Mar 2006
Started as a service technician and quickly moved up to Support Manager during my time with Walmart. I performed duties of both jobs every day, which included working with customers, creating service tickets, performing services and up-sells, taking payment for services and using a PoS system to manage, working with other departments, working with other stores across the nation. I also traveled to Kalispel, MT and trained new technicians and management for that location. I was constantly striving to complete all computer-based training. I was responsible for employee hiring, firing, evaluations, pay-level and raises. I had and still have a strong belief that if you want your employees to respect you, it needs to be earned and proven. If I expected my technicians to do any task, I would do it as well to show that even as their manager I was willing to take care of business. Continually strove for success of the company. Assisted with inventory management, sales, shipping and receiving, shop renovations, and anything related to keeping the TLE department fresh and exciting. Show less
