I operated as a road and gate patrol in efforts to secure peace on post. While I was a road patrol, I was responsible for conducting before during and after maintenance of my equipment and vehicle. Driving around to enforce police presence while also doing security checks on buildings and sensitive areas. Occasionally I would have to transport prisoners from nearby departments and jails, returning them to their units for UCMJ action. Conducting traffic stops and felony traffic stops were patience and communication skills are required to keep the scene as peaceful as possible, Daily occurrences of domestic calls for abuse cases or simple noise complaints.As a Gate patrol i am in charge of proper access on to the installation regarding safety and the well-being of individuals. As a gate guard our main concerns involve denied access to peoples who have wrong or invalid entry, detaining vehicles at random to inspect for possible illegal substances and terrorist activity that could harm myself or others while on post.
