Solicited and secured sponsorship from Crews Subaru of Charleston, Boehringer Ingelheim, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Roper St Francis Healthcare, and Fetch by the Dodo Pet Health Insurance. • Raised an unprecedented $550K for general operating expenses in the first year of establishing the Lifesaver’s Club, a multi-year annual giving event. • Organized and produced the 2021 Applause for Paws Gala, with key sponsorships from Blackbaud, PetPlan Pet Insurance and the Bank of America, raising record funds of $650K. • Creatively raised $439,316, the highest amount in 20 years, by moving to a virtual event due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic for the annual Chili Cook-off by involving and featuring CBS’ Lucky Dog star (Brandon McMillian). • Created the Rescue Brew Beer Contest with Palmetto Brewing Company, producing revenues of $75K in 2020 and $150K in 2021.

Created and implemented an Open Paw enrichment program embedded with behavioral science and minimum mental health requirements for shelter pets. Initiated community-driven mission-centric programs (off-site pet adoptions, running buddy programs) with Vandenberg Air Force Base, Santa Maria Fire Department, the YMCA, and Alan Hancock College. • Structured fundraising programs to increase donated revenues by 150% (from $600K to $1.5M) in two years, and increased adoption programs for dogs/cats from 493 in 2016 to 1320 in 2018 (167.75%) with a 98% live release rate. • Introduced a customer-centric program (Adopters Welcome Here) that increased monthly adoptions by 333% (from 30 to 130) and devised a Pet Safe program for animal victims of domestic violence in collaboration with Santa Barbara County District Attorney, Joyce Dudley. • Implemented the Benevon Model, a major donor program, to create the Animal Hero Club and develop corporate sponsorships programs with Nestle Purina, Boehringer Ingelheim, Honda, and Presqu’ile Winery.
