At the start of 2017 I assumed the role of Religious Education Co-ordinator in the Senior School, a Head of Department post. I was solely in charge of running the RE Department in the Senior School (3 other teachers), calling and chairing meetings of the College Liturgical Team (whole college), organising Masses and paraliturgies (senior school and whole college), running the Confirmation programme for Grades 10 and 11, including weekly lessons, retreats, camps, evening meetings, Masses and other functions. In addition, being on Senior School management brought with it other managerial duties, separate to RE. Show less

Grade Head
-
Jan 2016 - Dec 2017
I became Grade Head of Grade 11 at the start of 2016. I was no longer a register class teacher, but managing the regular and arising issues of the students in the grade together with the register teachers. This involved, among other things, grooming, discipline, academic progress, absenteeism and lateness, grade assemblies, mentoring, developing leadership (seminar), and a lot of communication with parents and teachers.
