    • Circulation Clerk
      • Jul 2004 - May 2011

As a clerk it was my duty to create and update customer accounts, assist with missing and/or damaged materials, and public faxing. Much of the time was spent greeting customers and checking out library materials at the main circulation desk, stand-alone station, and drive-up window. Duties also included checking in materials, answering public phone calls, and processing customer hold items. • Library & Branch Assistant
      • 2009 - 2011

As a library assistant I performed technology assistance and reader's advisory to all ages. Performed weekly updates to book lists and displays, as well as completing short-term and long-term collection projects. What was most rewarding was shadowing the Teen Librarian with programming, Teen Advisory Board, and collection development. Finally, planned and performed Saturday family story time for children and their parents. As a branch assistant I performed general circulation functions such as creating and updating library accounts, implementing opening and closing procedures for the branch, and recording and submitting branch statistics. I also performed weekly preschool story time to children.
