  During this period I am responsible for- New polymer & compounded polymer synthesis & blending for internal work and/or customer requests.- Generation of new formulas & synthesis to match customer specific needs that do not exist from current product line.- Generation and improvement of PSA & Coatings styled polymers & both high-low Tg applications in a wide range of environments, from High to Low Temp, outdoor to indoor application.- Generating and maintaining multiple concurrent long-term testing groups of new and existing polymers for the purposes of research and development.- On site in-process training of new R&D personnel.- Maintenance of polymer batch formula sheets, compounded batch formula sheets, generating new & experimental polymer / compounded batch formulas and attendant sheets. - Maintaining a scale-up relationship with full-scale production to implement new and emergent formulas for customers at scales of 1-22 metric tons. - Review of formulations & processes, and implementing improvements to both quality & efficiency.- Testing of customer supplied material & internally generated material for identification & evaluation including pH, solids %, viscosity, Particle Size, residual volatile compound identification, water resistance, water absorption, water whitening, acid value content, and peel/shear on various substrates, Tg 'C testing on a TA instruments DSC, Rheology and DMA testing on a TA instruments Rheometer, Particle Size via an Anton Parr Litesizer, consistent & new test procedures via our customers.- Maintenance and upkeep of several highly specialized test equipment & synthesis equipment.- In-process polymer & compounded polymer adjustment.- Associated tasks with new & improved polymer development.- Maintaining a cordial and friendly relationship with our customers to service the needs of their business in a timely and efficient manner.
