  The impact studio Change Content was established with an edict to develop true stories into unforgettable narratives and docs that upend the way viewers think and feel about critical issues. Helmed by Oscar®, Emmy® and Peabody® award-winning filmmakers and producers, Andrea Nix Fine and Sean Fine whose raw, intimate storytelling style has been hailed by critics as “visually ravishing” and “enormously spirit-raising.” In 2021, the Fines launched their impact studio Change Content with an edict to develop true stories into unforgettable narratives and docs that upend the way viewers think and feel about critical issues. Change Content’s first film LFG premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, is currently streaming on HBO Max, and was instrumental in the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team achieving equal pay. Change Content’s latest film in collaboration with A24, The Sixth, is a visceral portrayal of a city and nation under siege as well as a testament to the importance of truth, as told through the eyes of six unique individuals whose lives will be forever changed by the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.

  Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine began working together at National Geographic. In 2003, they married and started directing together as Fine Films. Their documentary-short Inocente (a coming-of-age story centering on a 15-year-old homeless, undocumented female immigrant in California) won an Oscar® in 2013 and was the first crowdfunded film to earn such a distinction. Previously, the Fines’ first feature-length documentary War/Dance, about child soldiers in Uganda, was nominated for an Academy Award® in 2007 and their 2013 HBO film Life According to Sam, about Sam Berns and his family’s fight to overcome progeria, and won both a Peabody and Emmy® for Exceptional Merit in Documentary filmmaking. Additionally, Andrea is the writer and Sean is the cinematographer on all their films.
