- Works towards creating new classes and programs for the Apex Parks and Recreation District. - Created new Coach in Training program. An almost zero cost program that allows the organization to train future coaches and officials. This program granted high school students the chance to gain valuable experience in parks and recreation, practice job skills, gain volunteer hours and have the opportunity to become a paid coach in the district. - Developed new class, Schoolyard Games, for the Simms St facility that will begin running in May 2019. - Attended meetings for CARA youth sports. - Worked on the creation, from start to finish, of the summer program brochure. This is the primary way we drive revenue in the district as it shows the date, time, location and cost of all classes offered. This job included determining what classes should be offered and when and heavy editing to be sure all information was accurate. - Coached youth sports classes for kids ranging from the ages of 3-16. - Worked as supervisor for the winter youth basketball league to ensure that games were kept on time and that all employees were where they needed to be. - Helped with the operation of spring youth flag football from start to finish. This included running inventory, budgeting the league, running marketing blast and on boarding coaches. - Gained a wealth of experience in Max Galaxy, Team sideline and When to Work. Show less
