  I am head of, and operate within, two departments for Bailey Morris, Purchasing and Logistics. Through my capacity as head of logistics i liaise and negotiate with our chosen freight and courier companies for our importing and exporting needs, including deep sea, air and road. My other function, buyer, consists of the following responsibilities: - Liaising with the sales team regarding current stock trends and possible future trends. - Stock reporting (monitoring the last 6-12 month trends of products to conclude stock required) - Raising of purchase orders. - Querying purchase orders of price and lead times. Then leading to negotiating prices and lead times. - Liaising with suppliers via e-mail, phone and visits to maintain healthy relations. - Receiving Deliveries to our system/stock. An individual project as part of my procurement/purchasing role was to revamp our packaging philosophy while maintaining cost efficiency. Further to this all responsibilities to order, receive (electronically) and liaise with our dispatch department regarding possible progressions continue to be mine. Further to this i am responsible for several office administration and archiving duties, which include: - Data collection and presentation of certain company activity. - Processing of purchase invoices. - Archiving official documents such as delivery notes, customer orders and shipping documents - Purchasing of non-stock services such as, waste disposal, stationary & equipment accessories. - Occasional cover for sales office telephones.
