• Class: MUS 218 Guitar, Elementary Class Instruction• Creation of lesson plans aimed to teach the basics of the guitar while giving students the tools necessary to teach the instrument in a class setting• Facilitate open forum discussions on guitar pedagogy and other musical subjects• Class focuses on many styles that educators may come across including but not limited to: Classical, Rock, Blues, Heavy Metal, and Jazz• Facilitate class performances of simple ensemble works• Students are provided with many sources concerning each topic. Some present techniques in a similar fashion, while others are completely contradicting. This is done in order to ensure students have many perspectives to draw from when teaching others.
