      CKR FM was the local licensed service for Carlow and Kildare which could be received by tuning to 97.3FM, 97.6FM or 107.4FM. From its studios in Naas, Leixlip and Carlow CKR provided adult contemporary music with comprehensive coverage of local news and sport to it's target audience of 18-50 year olds. The station's franchise area was realigned by the BCI at the start of 2002 for the next round of licence awards.
