      As a MLA I performed clerical, technical and scientific work within the pathology laboratory to assist with managing 7000 patients a day workload . My responsibilities included:carrying out a range of routine sample tests, sample reception and booking, range of other support duties for the senior staff members, liasoning between medical practitioners and patients. The role involved taking on a large amount of responsibility as human life was endangered in case of inaccurate or delayed blood test results as well as working under intense time pressure due to urgency of many of the samples.
