Biomechanics research focusing on knee angle's of trans-tibial amputee subjects to explore the development of osteoarthritis. Used MATLAB to correct for error in bone position due to error from markers being placed on the skin. This optimization method allows us to look at the internal/external and varus/valgus knee angles accurately. Our team was tasked with creating a robot for the ASME Student Design Competition. The goal was to create a bot that could play 4 vs 4 soccer. In order to make the best bot possible we ideated and prototyped different designs using machine shops on Cal Poly's campus as well as 3D printing certain parts. During this project, we used SolidWorks to create parts and designs. We implemented an Arduino Uno for our controller and wrote code for the controls using a wireless controller. Communicated with local and national companies during the design process to construct a vacuum table for Varial's CNC machine (see photos). Used Excel to program G-Code for channeling and finishing table. Researched the deflection of composite beams and produced the cores to be tested for the amount of deflection under standard loads experienced for a surfboard.
