I had the distinct pleasure of working under Scott Rousseau's leadership at Leupold & Stevens in the realm of digital marketing. There are a few key attributes that Scott possesses which truly set him apart. First and foremost, Scott's flexibility combined with his clarity in delegating tasks always resonated with me. Our working relationship was built on mutual trust, and he allowed me the autonomy to operate in my role, always confident that I would deliver. Yet, he never failed to keep an eagle's eye on the details, ensuring that our projects not only met but consistently exceeded expectations. His sharp attention to detail, especially in graphic design and copywriting, is unparalleled. One instance that truly highlighted Scott's caliber was when he boldly navigated through a series of challenging tasks to drive our digital initiatives. Under his watch, we successfully incorporated a loyalty program, introduced a Customer Data Platform (CDP), and made strides in e-commerce at a time when deliverables were falling behind. These accomplishments, while significant, felt almost seamless because of Scott's leadership. Lastly, Scott's communication style is one that promotes inclusivity and collaboration. Always approachable, he fosters an environment where ideas are not just shared but are also molded with constructive feedback. He ensured that every team member felt valued, heard, and aligned with our collective vision. To say that Scott is an asset is an understatement. Any organization would be fortunate to have a leader of his caliber, and I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside him.

Scott and I started at Leupold right around the same time and I got to work with him closely during my time there. I was fortunate to see him grow in his responsibility and skill-set, specifically in the social media space. One thing I really appreciate about Scott is his desire to connect with fans. He sees social as not simply a way to promote a brand, but to truly engage with people, feature their stories, and make them feel connected to the brand. He was constantly bringing new ideas to the table to activate a fan's experience, and his influence went beyond just the digital space, as he was consistently engaged with what we were doing in the retail, trade show, and traditional advertising channels. On top of that, Scott's just an all-around great guy who's super easy to get along with and fun to have around.

For six weeks, I was given the opportunity to work at numerous marketing agencies through PAF Colaboratory's national internship. Participating in various projects, RFP responses, brainstorms and presentations - I was able to gain a greater knowledge for the inter-workings of different agencies. The twelve interns including myself were also split into two teams and given the opportunity to craft an annual marketing plan for Moonstruck Chocolate.
