This position involved management of campus-wide forums, where members of the larger community interacted with prominent thinkers, industry leaders, scholars, and decision makers. In preparation for these events, I developed advertising strategies, maintained internet media platforms, created interactive poling systems, and created graphic designs. Forum guests included: Ian Urbina, Senior Investigator for the New York Times; Richard Norton Smith, prominent presidential historian; Robert Bryce, Senior Fellow, Manhattan Institute’s Center for Energy Policy and the Environment; Nathaniel Bullard, Industry Analyst for Bloomberg New Energy Finance; Michael Eskew, UPS Director and former UPS Chairman and CEO; Brian Lamb, founder and Executive Chairman of C-SPAN; Susan Swain, Co-CEO of C-SPAN, and other communications executives; journalists; analysts; and former White House officials. Washington D.C. Metro Area Over the course of the program, I met with officials at the White House, State Department, and Capitol Hill. I also interviewed editors and reporters at the New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg View, Politico, and The Wall Street Journal. Through these networks, I compiled information regarding the lasting impression of social media during times of crisis, election, and social change and presented findings to C-SPAN executives.
