Working as the in-house Graphic Designer producing printed materials and ensuring brand consistency across the five divisions within Aura-Soma Products Limited. Each area of the business has a unique look and feel, a key component of my work has been to ensure that each brand is recognisable throughout all materials and literature and presents a clear and concise voice. My key responsibilities are primarily focused on the packaging, labelling and information leaflets for all of the products. By liaising with colleagues, I am able to produce accurate, consistent and visually pleasing materials that adhere to any legal regulations, both within the UK and Internationally. In addition, I produce marketing materials to promote each area of the business such as leaflets, email communications, adverts and exhibition hand outs. Furthermore, I am responsible for the photography of new products and working with external printers and packaging manufacturers to ensure artwork is accurate, delivered on time and to budget.More recently I have had the opportunity to develop my proofreading and editing skills, including altering contextual and grammatical errors as well as establishing a coherent and concise message delivery.

As part of a small creative team, I received briefs from the Art Director and produced designs to guidelines, style setters and initial sketches. These designs were used to advertise and promote both local and national organisations and local governments; including working as part of a team producing the layout of an adult learning prospectus for Lincolnshire County Council As part of a small creative team, I received briefs from the Art Director and produced designs to guidelines, style setters and initial sketches. Beginning my career at The Danwood Group as a Junior Designer offered me great creative freedom and diversity though a multitude of styles, materials and projects, whilst abiding to the Corporate Guidelines to create a consistent corporate image and voice. During my five years I progressed to the position of Middleweight Designer and became a key member of the Marketing Department enabling me to take a more active role in managing projects from initial brief and concept to final delivery of artwork for direct mail campaigns, adverts and brochure. In addition to this I also managed the in-house printing using a digital press and liaising with third party printers and promotional companies. One of my key responsibilities was working the various sales departments to produce interesting and innovative direct mail campaigns to attract new business and raise interest for products and services. This involved discussions with the account managers followed by thorough questioning to get to the heart of the overall goal and the most effective way to achieve this. From this I was able to produce aesthetically pleasing and practical marketing materials including leaflets, event invites and adverts specific to the brief to achieve the desired results.Along side this, I was also responsibilities was to create and maintain a style guide for the company’s Financial Highlights, a version of the companies Annual Report for marketing purposes. This required me to work with a number of different departments to ensure that the content and finished products were delivered on time and to the organisations’ style guide.
