I can’t say enough amazing things about Scott. He is an absolute code ninja and master of his craft. He is an incredible teammate. Not only is he supportive but he is the voice of reason, insightful and not afraid to ask questions. He tackles every task with expert precision but is completely open to feedback, suggestions and help from fellow devs. If he isn’t an expert, he does what needs to be done to become an expert. He is curious, respectful, collaborative and dedicated to making processes work for his team as a whole. I’ve always respected Scott for his dedication to the team’s mission, his wisdom and candor and his natural leadership qualities. I’m grateful for everything I was able to learn from him and I feel absolutely lucky to have been his teammate.

Scott is a great engineer to work with. I worked with him on a project using Elasticsearch, and saw him quickly come up to speed on the project, and quickly able to contribute. On another project, I was able to pass off some Hadoop/Hive tasks to him, and watched as he took ownership and was willing to learn and work on the tasks, even though it was for an older project in maintenance mode. Most recently he was working with another team using RedShift. That team worked closely together to help each other learn domain modeling and best practices for data warehouses. He would definitely be great asset for either his software engineering or data skills!
