I have worked with my share of retired military over the years...many have had their fair share of shining. Not Scott. I arrived at CDS shortly after Scott and during his time here, I watched all measurable indicators of his office improve dramatically, from lower attrition, workers comp and unemployment to higher caliber candidates. Scott had his hands in it all while after hours striving to improve himself further through higher education. if Scott did not know the answer, he knew where to get it quickly - extremely important in a position where regulations change daily and impact employers and employees alike. . For those of you running a service business, you know how important it is to have a strong HR guru. While I am confident Scott and I will keep the friendship, I am at a loss for not having him down the hallway.

      Stone County Emergency Services is a consolidated communications center dedicated to providing essential and life saving services to the citizens, visitors, and public safety officials of Stone County, Missouri. Responsible for leadership and management of Stone County Emergency 911 including all HR functions, supervision, recruitment, retention, onboarding, management, resource allocation and training of all staff, complete salary and benefits administration and performance of all payroll functions, employee conflict resolution, strategic planning and organizational development, comprehensive financial management, including budget development and administration, expense analysis, financial reporting, A/P, management of all personnel records and coordination of both regular board meetings and numerous special events. • Wrote and submitted two Requests for Proposal on a Radio Tower and Multi coupler combiner for a total $200,000 project. Oversaw and managed the smooth transition of the project ensuring communications were never lost to the the citizens during installation and dismantling of old systems to new equipment and hardware. • Lead County’s Next Generation 911 system – Project Manager for Stone County’s NG911 project that will take our old analog 911 phone system to IP (Internet Protocol) fiber based. A 1.2 million dollar project with 5 other counties in SW Missouri provided thru Centurylink and West Services. The NG 911 will provide Text to 911, faster more reliable service and better location accuracy to the citizens of Stone County. Sucessfully implemented first significant upgrade to counties 911 system in over 20 years ensuring a smooth transition from old to new with zero down time or deficiencies.
