Created services for registries to help integrate matching algorithms that connect patients in need of Bone Marrow transplants to potential donors. Shortly after joining I was made Technical Lead in an attempt to improve communication between the business and technical teams. Alongside this, I had a major impact in improving the processes around the technical team as well as pushing a test first attitude and moving towards a CI/CD approach. As a Software Engineer, I work in an international, agile team developing an enterprise standard logistics and shipment platform for large companies such as 3M, Phillips and Nobel. As a part of my time here, I've spent time helping to implement and improve both the development and company process, including how we define stories, handle pull requests, manage refinements, retrospectives as well as interviewing multiple developers for possible roles. Code wise I've spent time improving our external Api's, used Angular 8 to build a front end, dot net core to build separate printing applications using signalr and a custom application for one of our customers to integrate autonomously with our product. A recent internal project that I worked on was to create a templating system that improves the time we can connect customers to carriers, this tool reduced workload from several weeks of work down to several hours. Currently working on a greenfield project to redesign our current platform using Azure functions, Azure events and CosmosDb. Key points: - Understanding of logistics and supply chain - Integration of large carriers (DHL, UPS) - Working in an international team with international clients - Defining business processes - Mentoring junior developers Technologies used: - C# 8 - Angular 8 - Dotnet Core - SQL - AWS - GIT - BitBucket - Azure - Devops - CI - CD - CosmosDb - Azure Functions - Azure Events Show less

    • Motor Vehicle Assessor
      • Jul 2011 - Feb 2013

Youngest Motor Vehicle Assessor in the country at the time of starting at the age of 19, completed level 3 Maintenance and Repair in both Light and Heavy vehicle technology and went on to teach. I was the tutor and first line of contact for all level 2 employed students as well as 40 in house students and 25 school children. For the In house and school pupils, I was there to give them a general insight into the world of mechanics spending the majority of time in the workshop giving them as much hands on experience as possible. The portfolio work they had to complete was very basic and at level 1. For the apprentices it was the other way around spending the majority of the time in the classroom doing theory because they done their "physical" training at work. Also attended several training courses and completing my PTLLS and A1 Assessor award Show less
