The WVU LaunchLab is a one stop innovation and commercialization center that provides WVU students with access to idea development support, education, mentorship, prototyping facilities and resources to help advance entrepreneurship. As the digital communications graduate assistant I was responsible for producing various digital and printed marketing materials including flyers, infostations and custom collateral. I was also responsible for overseeing two websites as well as photography and videography efforts.

    • Events Coordinator
      • Apr 2018 - Aug 2018

As Event Coordinator for West Virginia's largest indoor shooting range I was able to interface with a variety of clients. In addition to organizing regular corporate trainings, team-building events and recreational events I was also tasked with the development of community-based events. Most significantly I orchestrated Morgantown's first ever Food Truck Festival at the Defense In Depth location. My role in this event included all stages of planning, vendor acquisition and execution. This event had an approximate attendance of 1,800 people and was so successful that after just 3 hours, all 9 of our vendors had sold out of food. Another significant community event I was responsible for coordinating during my time with Defense In Depth was our Dog Days of Summer event in which we partnered with a local animal shelter to raise money.

As a paid intern with the WVU Extension Services, was largely responsible for editing technical documents produced by WVU faculty and published by the WVU Extension Service. This role mandated intensive utilization of AP Style editing. Designed and developed an in-depth survey using Qualtrics software to gauge consumer preferences on the Extension's largest yearly promotional piece.
