The Market Area Manager (MAM) role exists to help Credit Acceptance grow its business by increasing the number of active dealer-partners (DP’s) we do business with at the same time increasing the number of deals per active dealer partner in their respective market. The MAM is responsible for having a thorough understanding of the market, competitors and dealers in the defined territory in order to create the most effective strategy to increase our dealer partner base and contract volume. Secure new clients through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals and attending industry trade shows. Cultivate client relationships by demonstrating value added services and product knowledge. Conduct one-on-one and group training and demonstrations of product reviews and benefits with staff to educate sales personnel on strategies to drive sales leveraging value add, solution selling approach. ➥ Train and develop staff in utilizing lender portal. ➥ Perform analysis of dealers’ business, managing risk portfolio and rating to facilitate future portfolio profit and residual income. ➥ Consistently grew dealer count, approvals and contracts monthly. ➥ Achieved 45% growth in territory in 2014 and continued upward trend with 24%, 35% and 15% sales growth in 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively. ➥ Recognized with the Top Gun Award 4 times throughout tenure; given to sales member with the most growth year-over-year for their market size.
