  The scope incorporates 14km of road construction with 5 Bridges over water and 2 Road / Cane Rail Overpasses. The project is within the Haughton River Plain with a major emphasis on Hydraulic Modelling and protected wetlands. Project construction budget is in the order of $300 Million. My early involvement with the project was focused on identification and implementation of innovation D&C solutions, which include reducing the number of bridges / culverts, earthwork minimisation and introducing pavement innovations of Foamed Bitumen Stabilised Material. My responsibility & role as Civil Construction Manager for the civil engineering works included safety & environment, earthworks, drainage and pavements, asphalt, and road furniture.• Design review and constructability input during the design phase of the project to optimise design solutions to suit construction methods and local supply/ subcontract capabilities. • Planning and management of all civil construction activities including earthworks, pavements, drainage, road furniture and landscaping works. • Management of the civil engineering team. • Procurement of civil related supply and subcontract packages. • Establishment of local borrow sites for imported fill material. • Management pf activities to investigate pavement solutions including re-use of existing pavements and foam bitumen stabilisation pavement design using local materials.   The scope of project is a design and build contract for approximately 45km of Eight Lane Motorway with 4 Major Grade Separated Interchanges. Approx. half is Greenfield while the balance is realignment of existing 4 lanes Highway. Project has over 4500 personal on site with a total construction budget is in the order of QR3.6 billion or approx. $1.4 Billion AUD.  Manage KBR’s supervision consultant AECOM consisting of 75 staff.  Monitor and report regularly on contractors’ performance and progress to KBR and Ashghal Senior Management.  Ensured all safety, quality and environmental aspects of projects met contract specification and client requirements.  Provide formal recommendation to client relating to all scope changes / variation submissions / extension of time and continuing design issues through the consultants while maintaining professional relationships.  Manage external stakeholders, client’s representative / interface with coordination for all external stakeholders and other Government Authorities.
