Senior Program Officer Economic Development - Energy and Waste
-
Apr 2017 - Mar 2020
I was Energy and Waste Senior Program Officer, part of the Economic Development and Investment group at the Latrobe Valley Authority (LVA). I co-led the delivery of Gippsland’s Smart Specialisation initiative, which is building on Gippsland’s strengths and regional potential in the new energy sector in Gippsland. The project has particular focus on building and strengthening innovation and collaborative practice across government, industry/business, education & research and community sectors in Gippsland. As part of the LVA’s commitment to working on things that matter to the community, I worked as an economic facilitator and relationship broker, supporting businesses to establish, connect and grow. I had the privilege of working with a diverse array of renewable energy developers and businesses across the region - assisting them to connect into government and community, develop local supply chains and skilled workforces, and build collaborative relationships and opportunities.
