Worked for the QR Property Division* Build and maintain a suite of databases (MS Access front end on SQLserver backend) to manage the Property Division’s reporting requirements. These were for Outdoor Advertising Signage, Projects, Land Tax, Cultural Heritage, Business Group Referrals, Land Disposals, Valuations, Acquisitions, Heritage, Housing, Native Title, Planning/Projects, Property Administration, Legal, Third Party Access assets and a management overview reporting DB (pseudo data warehouse) that amalgamated data from these plus also data from a number of other data sources (ie Govt GIS and UCV data, Fixed Assets, Leases, Environmental, Primavera).Designed features such as custom pivot table reports , drill down reporting and automating letters with MS Word.* The Outdoor Advertising DB linked to GIS data and was used in conjunction with custom app built on handheld devices for data input and viewing out in the field.* Automate the overnight update of GIS data layers in relation to QR property edits from the main Property DB (MS Access with Mapinfo). Build a number of SQL Visual jobs to automate overnight processes in relation to Property Division data.* Build a Land Disposals dashboard reporting for use in major multi-year Disposal Project in order to capitalise on Qld Rails vast land holdings.*.I was also involved in the Land Tax Reconciliation Project in which I had to analyse Qld Rail land holdings (also past holdings & sub divisions) for determining the payment of land tax going back over a 10 years period* I was Involved as a subject expert for Property related IT systems in the concept development & detailed design phase of the switch over to SAP. Advised on existing systems and the linkages to future asset management solutions ensuring data integrity which included data cleansing, reviewing data structures for mapping and distinguish the change in reporting capabilities. These download & Upload various data sets from BPCS mainframe. It also uploads data to SQL Server where it is consolidated for reporting purposes and site balancing. * Reconfigure costing/estimation DB to provide for the adoption of standard item codes & costing codes and the change in Bill of Materials in the Fittings businesses. Development of Cognos Forecasting application for the Water Division. The application which resides on SQL Server and interacts with the Accounting and Manufacturing systems, and links to their Cognos Bus. Intelligence reporting. I am still involved with this project when it comes to enhancements and maintenance. * Development of Access application for the factory mgrs, that records job labour costing and automates upload to payroll. The app also caters for production forecasting and job scheduling with numerous charts and reports. It also serves the purpose as a repository of information on which historical analysis can be conducted, ie efficiency calculations, indirect labor, section performance, activities by job, capital works costing, capacity utilization, etc. * Developed a job quoting / estimation application that the estimators use to compile and cost, job estimates, and work orders, and automating the upload of these to the mainframe. Also provides for document tracking, an estimate register, KPI reporting, production analysis, etc. * Developed a series of job-time recording applications that are used at various sites, plus a room/equipment reservation application. I worked in the Land Management unit Continue development of MS Access/SQL/MapInfo/GBM systems that helped the state valuers perform their job. One system created PDF docs of property valuations and saved them back to SQL Server for sharing around the state by other valuers for guidance in their valuations. Various other DBs were customized for clients that provided images of properties + assets + calculations.
