I truly enjoyed my time working with Scott Lee at Vizi Courseware. Scott is an incredibly talented designer, and he showed an amazing amount of versatility and flexibility in his design work, moving effortlessly between mediums such as animation design, responsive web design and print. In each medium and for each project, he really took the time to understand the project and its goals, which led to a design that often matched the needs and audience of a piece in a way that even the originator of the project hadn’t envisioned. I admire his ability to see the bigger picture of a project and even rethink the original goals if needed to help come up with a design that communicates effectively with its intended audience. Paired with his talent for design, Scott responds wonderfully to feedback and revisions. It’s clear that he’s eager to make the product the best it can be and is happy to incorporate other ideas or to try different strategies. He repeatedly showed how much he wanted to help the team, even offering to work outside of his area of expertise, if it meant reaching a deadline or finishing a project. Scott also shaped the culture of Vizi Courseware, often coming up with new ways to keep the office environment fun and lively. The thing that stands out most is the monthly group lunch he initiated at the company, which became an important way for everyone to keep up in each other’s lives and spend a moment enjoying one another’s company outside of the work setting. Scott’s talent and personality make him a truly unique designer, and I know that he will find success in any role he takes on.
