Founded by Lowell Schulman and a select group of fellow golf enthusiasts, Atlantic is a new world club that embodies the traditional feel of its east end neighbors. Atlantic's rolling hills, tall fescue, and ever-changing sea breezes provide an experience to test golf's greats yet enjoyable for golfers of any skill level.The Rees Jones designed course opened in 1992 to both local and national rave reviews, winning Golf Digest's award for the "Best New Private Course".Atlantic was chosen to host the 1995 Met Open as its first local major championship which established Atlantic as a MET area classic. It was the first chapter in what is destined to be a long and distinguished history linking Atlantic with the best in championship golf. Atlantic has hosted several local and national championships and is the home course of the Hamptons Invitational Celebrity Pro-Am (“The Gust”). The Metropolitan Golf Writers Association named Atlantic Club of the Year for 2010. "For upholding the spirit and traditions of golf through consistent and energetic support and dedication to the game."
