      Aesica Pharmaceuticals was formed by a management buy-out of the BASF Cramlington site in 2004. The site specialised in primary pharmaceuticals and manufactured a range of generic actives. Whilst at Cramlington I undertook the following work. Engineered and managed projects and campaign changeovers up to £5M budget, including front-end design, detailed design, and commissioning. Provided operational support and implemented capacity improvements. Audited contract manufacturers for technical capability and SHEQ compliance. Held responsibility for process engineering specification and operational support in the following areas – solids handling, batch reaction, distillation, liquid/liquid extraction, crystallisation, pressure filtration, vacuum drying, milling, HVAC, and clean rooms.
