Despite almost a decade spent in the tech industry, it has taken me a long while to get my head around accessibility. As someone who has played project management roles I have been guilty of letting accessibility fall into the "nice to have" category - not needed in order to release to end users. In just a short time working together, Scott has fundamentally shifted how I think about Accessibility. He leads with empathy- not only for users but also for those of us trying to get our heads around how to center accessibility. Scott's presence at Benevity and work educating all of us about best practices has shifted how we orient towards accessibility and changed our products for the better. I would absolutely recommend having Scott join your team!

I have had the great pleasure to work with Scott during the last year+, most recently on the Design Systems team. He is an incredible source of knowledge of accessibility and assistive technologies and played a huge role in making our components and products more accessible, sharing his skills with the design and broader teams, and educating and advocating for accessibility within our company and with 3rd party vendors. I would recommend Scott in a heartbeat, for his knowledge and experience alone. But in addition to that, he was a hugely influential part of our Product Experience team culture, bringing kindness, humility, an awesome sense of humour and non-stop support to any and all colleagues. You will not meet a lovelier person and if you're very lucky, you will get to work with him. I sure hope I will again!
