  Process Technician for a 4 production line polypropylene unit that uses a BASF gas phase process to produce polypropylene resin. I am qualified to work in all areas including DCS. We utilize purification towers with molecular sieves to purify incoming feeds. We use refrigerator compressors that utilize ammonia, propylene, and freon as their cooling agents to cool process liquids and gases. Compressors to compress gases back to liquids. Many different pumps including centrifical, piston, membrane, and diaphram are used to move liquids into the reaction areas.We use a memmbrane skid to seprate HCL's form nitrogen which we reuse both in different areas. I am DOT trained to unload tanker trucks. Participated in unit PHA studies. Train new operators in process. Wrote or revised OP's for new or exsisting equipment. Serve as Step-up Shift Supervisor, where I help shift supervisor with plant day to day operations. When supervisor is sick or on vacation, I assume all responsibilites of the supervisors position. Assign job tasks, call out support staff as needed, scheduling of production, ensuring plant is running safely, efficiently and on spec. Show less
