      Coach Scott Flowers is entering his eighth year as Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer team at Mountain Brook. In seven seasons at the helm, Coach Flowers has won two 6A State Championships (2008 and 2013) and has accumulated a record of 137 wins, 29 losses and 11 draws with an 80% win percentage. His teams have made the playoffs every season, have continuously been ranked in the top 5 in the state, and received two, top 15 National Rankings by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Last season, Coach Flowers helped Mountain Brook reach their fourth state soccer title while being named Alabama Coach of the Year and Birmingham Metro Coach of the Year for the second time in his career. The Spartans, led by a record 11 seniors, went 22-3-2 while defeating returning State Champ, Oak Mountian in the finals 2-0. With a midseason victory over future Georgia State Champ, Parkview High, the Spartans recieved a 15th National ranking from the NSCAA for spring soccer. In the 2008 season, Flowers led the Spartans to their best season in Mountain Brook history. The Spartans won the Class 6A state championship, while going undefeated with a 24-0-3 record. They finished ranked 13th nationally for spring soccer that year. Coach Flowers was named Alabama Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year and Birmingham Metro Coach of the Year for 2008. With all seven of his seasons in the top 12 in Mountain Brook School history, Coach Flowers is extremely proud of all of his team’s accomplishments and accolades. “I am most proud of the culture of success and the high expectations that this team strives for year in and year out. Mountain Brook Soccer has a rich tradition going back to 1979 and we try to live up to that every day. It has truly become a program that is bigger than any coach or player and I am just proud to be a Spartan.”
